More Prototype Pictures! Leviathan!
over 6 years ago – Tue, Oct 31, 2017 at 08:11:48 PM

The meeples arrived! I took them to the local board game club to see what they were like to play with.

The stickers on the finished product will have a much neater edge - I had to spend the afternoon cutting these out with scissors because the metal die they'll be using to cut out the stickers on the finished sheets hasn't been made yet.

They're 30mm tall, twice the size specified in our original design, because I wanted to show off the art and make them fun to play with.

They have front and back stickers, and just barely fit in the box.

Here's a game in progress.

A tense standoff over a waffo.

The standoff grows more tense.

We're going to make the grey PG a lighter shade so the black and grey meeples are easier to tell apart under electric light, and we're going to be looking at using a less glossy black so the finish is more consistent between that and the other colours - it doesn't really show up in these pictures but right now there's a noticeable difference.

We've approved everything else in the box for production, so the factory are able to get started and we're still on track to receive the games by late January.

And while we're talking card games, there are just four days left to go on the new KS from Geoff Greer and Past Go Gaming: Leviathan, a game of nautical combat where you take on the role of either Captain Ahab or his cetacean nemesis, Moby Dick!

Progress Report: Card Game Prototype
over 6 years ago – Thu, Oct 19, 2017 at 12:35:27 AM

It's been a while since our last update, but here's what we've been waiting to share with you: The first printed prototype of GAME TIME.

We're still waiting on the wooden meeples, which are taking longer to prototype than the printed components. We'll share some more pictures once those have arrived.

Once we have all the pieces all we need to do is sign off on them, and manufacturing will begin. Between printing and shipping, that will take a couple of months, so we expect to have the game delivered to our shipping partner and getting posted out to you sometime in January.

It's been a long wait - development of the comics was mostly complete before the campaign, development of the game didn't begin until just before the campaign - but the result is looking pretty great! I hope you'll be as pleased with it as we are!

Time Game! Game Time!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Sep 01, 2017 at 12:23:41 AM

Development of the card game is finally complete, and we're just waiting on the final set of PDF proofs now! It'll still take a while to manufacture the game and get it shipped over from China; we'll get you an ETA as soon as we have one.

We'll be signing off on this in the next few days, after which point it will be in the capable hands of Panda and Ship Naked!

In the meantime here's a sneak peak at the sticker sheet:

As well as the one necessary to decorate the meeples, I found we had space for a few extra PGs that you can cut out with scissors and stick to whatever you want!

Also, here's the latest version of the rulebook:

Game Time Rules

If, over the next couple of days, you find any errors in there that we haven't caught, let us know so we can get them fixed before we go to print!

I hope you're as excited as we are, we can't wait to see the finished project!
